I find this article disturbing because in Saudi Arabia they are banning any object in store that is red. Valentine day is all about love. . I do not see any harm in the color red, pink, or white. Those are the true color of Valentine day. Just a week before Valentine day a women walk in one of the Saudi Arabia stores and all she could find blue teddy bears, she couldn't even fine a teddy bear that said "I love you". Store owners tell their customer to buy anything that is red now before the police do there rounds. So my question to them is why banned red? Another mess up thinking about Saudi Arabia is unmarried men and women could not hang out. They can't even take a drive together or even eat lunch. Why their rules so strict?

This video can relate to gender because there are groups that are trying to win America best dance crew. But one specific group called beat freak which is an all girl team. They are out there to prove that girls can break dance as well an guys. i can relate this to the book because Rukmani is discriminated when she gets a job as a reader and a writer. Beat Freaks is now one of the best team on the show. They have proven that girls can break dance as well as men. So far they are known as the best crew. They have strength and many different skills. In Rukmani case her business not going so well but she have proven to some people that she can read and write. I can also relate this to the movie bride and prejudice because guys may think that Indian girls are just some one simple. in the movie these two couple prove that women is the same equal as men. It took time to adapt to it but people soon realize that women are human.

I can relate this article to the book Nectar and Sieve because the mother in the article moves away from her homeland. She moves because of the corrupted government they had. The family had to move because they could no longer deal with the government. Although Rukmani moved away due to an arranged marriage, she still missed her homeland. The character in the news article acts strong by pretending not to miss home. The mother in the article spent last couple of hours of her life in terror of the Iranian government. She suffered from cancer, losing her memory. She did not even recognize her own daughter. She thought she was still in Tehran. I wonder if her illusion was caused by cancer or by her horrific memories of her past. I was amazed that she still have those fear in her after twenty two years in America. I was shocked by how powerful those memories still affected her.
Rukmani, however, had to move because of her husband. In the beginning she felt home sick. I feel sorry for both characters because I can understand why they miss home. I moved away from California to Minnesota when I was 5. I felt devastated that I had to move. Although I still miss California, I am happy that I get to encounter snow every winter.
